<p>I received a bachelor of science in industrial design with a focus in product design from The Ohio State University in 1996. I was a product designer for precisely 1 hour. Unbeknownst to me NCR hired me out of school to be graphic user interface designer because my thesis project was the amalgamation of a kiosk and its graphic user interface. So i switched careers simply because i had nothing better to do and have been designing everything digital for over a fifteen years now. Most recently I have had the fortune on working on the Microsoft Surface computing table project and also working with Nike on prototyping emerging technology for the Innovation Kitchen. I started The Portland After Effects User group to expand my knowledge of After Effects and network with other professionals while i make the transition entirely to motion graphics and After Effects. I love After Effects and i love the people i have met so this is a great place to begin. Step One</p>
